The site uses a highly customised WordPress install as a content management system and was designed and developed entirely by Mart Gordon Web Design and Online Marketing Consultancy.

O’Neill Coldwater Classic 2010 web campaign

Sunday, April 25th, 2010

O’Neill’s second year of Coldwater Classic series of surf events. The CWC is a 5 event series of the highest rated events on the ASP Star Series and offers the maximum total prizemoney of US $145,000 for each event.

I was once again asked to collaborate with the good folk at Ever Creative to help create the websites for the series and each event. The sites consist of integrated twitter feeds, streaming video, photo galleries and riders blogs all built into a custom content management system.

The Cockpit Leeds gets a site rebuild

Monday, March 8th, 2010

I have put together an immersive front-end build for The Cockpit Club in Leeds. The site has some interesting uses of CSS and Javascript to provide the best User Experience for the clubs fan base. The designers at Vapour pushed the envelope on some of the elements but finding solutions to creating some of their ideas has been a satisfying experience.

I think I may have to head up to Leeds sometime soon to check out the club in person.

Friday, January 15th, 2010

I was contracted by i-Zimbra to provide the design and development for a new site for Training to Achieve. I created the new site using WordPress as a CMS to allow the team at Training to Achieve to update their fully functional site for themselves. The site makes great use of WordPress plugins to optimise for Search Engines along with my customised plugin for Testimonial management.

New startup company Facilities Support came to me for help in starting up their company. The services I supplied were Branding, Web Design and build along with developing the site in WordPress. On top of this I helped them out by providing print design for letterheads and business cards. In an ongoing relationship with the company I will be helping create an online marketing strategy for them.

PlayReplay choose WordPress for a fully content managed site

Monday, October 12th, 2009

Ever Creative asked me to consult on the site they were designing for their friends at PlayReplay. I helped them to determine that the site could be served best by using WordPress as a small Content Management System to integrate the site along with its blog. This has proved very succesful and I have provided the front end development and a customisation of WordPress to allow a more bespoke design that is fully updatable by the client.

I advocate the use of WordPress as a simple Content Management System that is flexible enough to provide sophisticated templates that give the look of an expensive site whilst helping to contain costs. In fact my site is built entirely in WordPress.

Iain Davis approached Juretic for a website to showcase the innovative technology he has developed for football boot design.

This project was something of a solo project for me as I was solely involved in the Art Direction, Design and Development of this site.

Helping the Theatrecenter get online

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009

The Theatrecenter is a small independent theatre production company tha provides theatre workshops to teenagers. They asked me to create a site for them. Without much knowledge of what they wanted and how to market themselves online I guided them towards using WordPress as a solution that would not only help them update their own site but also help them integrate their online marketing efforts.

I provided them with advice, Art Direction, Web Design and Development, Search Engine Optimisation, Integrated Marketing and Print Design.
